Andrea Maddy, M.A.
Federal status: Highly Qualified K-8 Instructor
Arizona certifications: Standard Elementary Education, K-8

Andrea brought ten years of diverse teaching experience to the Upper Elementary classroom when she joined us in Fall 2011.  She crafted her teaching art at various schools in the Phoenix area using Waldorf, traditional, and Montessori methodologies, and through a memorable year at a small bamboo school in Bali, Indonesia.  Andrea credits her ten years working in construction management for her sense of classroom organization and management - viewing the classroom like a "little business.”  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Communication from San Francisco State University and a Master’s degree in Education and Curriculum from Chapman University.   At Sedona charter School, Andrea enjoys sharing her love of learning and the outdoors with her students and being a part of the entire school community.  In her leisure time, Andrea enjoys literature and art as well as hiking, camping, mountain biking, and snow skiing.
