Prior to coming to Sedona Charter School in 2006, Laura attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.  She received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in reading. One of Laura's favorite aspects to Montessori Philosophy is Peace Education. The Upper Elementary classroom focuses on peace by integrating problem-solving into each day, emphasizing how each child is a peace maker. Laura also enjoys team teaching in the Upper Elementary classroom because she is able to collaborate and use the other teachers as resources on a daily basis. In her spare time she enjoys camping, listening to live music, visiting friends and family in Minnesota, and traveling.
