President / Parent Representative
Sara Yost
Sarah Yost serves as President on the Sedona Charter School Governing Board and is the proud parent of a student in Upper Elementary. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, she brings expertise in policy development, organizational planning, team leadership, and process improvement. Sarah is committed to fostering a strong school community and helping ensure Sedona Charter School continues to thrive for current and future students.
When she's not working or volunteering, Sarah enjoys traveling, thrifting, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends.
Vive President / Parent Representative
Jennifer Kirk
Jennifer (Jenn) Kirk serves as Vice President on the Sedona Charter School Governing Board and Chair of the Parents & Partnerships Subcommittee. Jenn is the proud mom of a student in Upper Elementary and a young toddler. She brings years of experience in private security, project management, marketing, and organizational leadership, along with her work as a Certified Hypnotherapist specializing in trauma recovery. Outside of work, Jenn enjoys event planning, web design, andand helping build a strong and connected school community.

Peter Bassett
Peter Bassett serves as Secretary of the Sedona Charter School Governing Board and is the proud parent of two Sedona Charter School alumni. He brings experience in science education, project management, healthcare research, and organizational leadership. Peter is known for his attention to detail, thoughtful research, and commitment to supporting the long-term success of the school and its students.
Treasurer / Community Representative
Julie James
Julie James serves as Treasurer of the Sedona Charter School Governing Board and is the proud parent of a Sedona Charter School alumna. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she brings expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal oversight. With years of involvement at Sedona Charter School, Julie is committed to supporting the school's long-term financial health and continued success.

Parent Representative
Jillian Sundberg
Jilliann Sundberg serves as Chair of the Fundraising Subcommittee and brings more than 15 years of experience in education, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement. She currently serves as Regional Philanthropic Advisor for the Arizona Community Foundation in Sedona, supporting nonprofits and charitable giving throughout the Verde Valley. A former elementary educator and Teach For America corps member, Jilliann is passionate about student success and strengthening communities. She and her husband, Josh, live in Cornville with their two children.

Turiya Weiss
Turiya Weiss has a student in UE and brings a solutions-focused approach. She has dedicated her career to serving families and strengthening communities through nonprofit leadership and strategic planning. Guided by a balance of compassion and practical decision-making, she is committed to thoughtful governance and serving the school community.
